Invercargill City Council
Our design maximised the use of existing assets and featured new technology which provided the lowest overall cost of ownership yet met the onerous project requirements. Our continued role in the project meant the optimum solution did not have to be re-engineered.
Masterplanning, Process Design, Contract Preparation, Client Advisor
We were engaged by Invercargill City Council to provide a master plan for upgrading the 35 ML/d Branxholme WTP. The master planning included a performance assessment, condition assessment, process option study, cost estimation and process selection using Multi Criteria Analysis techniques. We went on to prepare the Basis of Design document and consultant engagement contract. We fulfilled the client advisor role for the duration of the upgrade. The upgrade features the first large UV and Hydrogen Peroxide treatment process for taste and odour removal in New Zealand.
