Lutra can look over your water source and treatment system and give you feedback and advise on ways to improve it, whether it be suggesting a new water source, tweaking your existing setup or designing a whole new treatment system, Lutra have the skills to help.

Some of Our Services:

  • We can visit your site and give you options as to what will work for your unique setup.
  • We can assist in designing a system to support your needs.
  • When a contractor proposes a solution, we can review this and give advice.
  • After the system is installed, we can assist in commissioning it to make sure it works as expected.
  • We can provide all the documentation you need and provide training on how to operate and maintain your plant.
  • We can review your existing plants and tell you how to optimise these.
  • Finally, we can manage all of your data, help to streamline reporting for your resource consent and to the water regulator using Lutra ID.

And don't worry if your issue is outside of our ballpark we will let you know right away (Lutra don't for example actually build and install treatment systems, though we can tell you what you need and suggest where to get it). So be sure to reach out to find out what we can do for you.

How Lutra can help Water Suppliers of Any Size With Their Reporting:

As you may know any water supplier in New Zealand that supplies more than 26 permanent residents or varying populations (i.e campsites with big population increases over summer) in a year has obligations to report on their water quality.

This involves collecting samples, collating the results and sending them to Taumata Arowai (The water services authority). The more people you supply the more samples need to be taken and the more regular the reporting.

This process can be confusing and time consuming, but Lutra ID is a system that makes compliance reporting easy. ID takes results from the labs and any other water quality data you may collect and automatically generates the report which can be sent on with the click of a button.

ID is suitable for supplies of any size including:

  • Campgrounds and Holiday Parks
  • Farms who supply multi properties
  • Vineyards and Distilleries
  • Tourist Destination
  • Remote Hotels and Motels

That Still Sounds Complicated...

Don't worry Lutra's ID and water treatment experts will be there to guide you through the setup and give you some basic training, and you don't need any fancy hardware, ID works on just about any device with internet access.

What Else Do I Have to do?

Simply follow these 4 steps using ID to Complete Your Compliance Reporting:

  1. Keep (or start) taking your water samples and sending them to the lab as required (or get the lab to take them)

  2. Depending on the lab, ID will automatically receive the results.

  3. ID generates a report that lets you know if you pass or fail, allows you to add evidence against any failures

  4. Click to submit it to Taumata Arowai (Water Services Authority).
